Sanctuary Church gathered on a Sunday morning

About Sanctuary

A church being built as a dwelling place.

Gold Coast, established 2025. Gathering every Sunday, 9:30am to 11am, at Benowa State School.

Our mission

Leading people from a personal revelation of Jesus to a public revival in their world.

It starts personal. It never stays personal. What God does in a person He intends to do through them, in the street they live on, the job they work, the family they belong to.

That is the whole arc of this church, and it is why we measure ourselves by what happens on Monday, not only what happens on Sunday.

“We’re so excited to get to know each of you as we pioneer Sanctuary Church on the Gold Coast.”

Our heart is to see God move in power. To see Heaven collide with earth. To see captives set free. To see the name of Jesus lifted up. To see the goodness of God in our day.

Our wells & our values

This is who we are. This is what we do.

Three wells. Nine values. The icon you see on everything we make is three pillars brought together into a star, one for each well, and rays of light for a church meant to sit on a hill.

Encounter

  • Prayer is our pursuit
  • Worship is our posture
  • Jesus is our mission

Transformation

  • Faith is our spirit
  • Community is our commitment

Our beliefs

What we believe

Sanctuary Church is part of the International Network of Churches. As an expression of our commitment to historic Christianity, INC holds to both the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed as foundational Christian beliefs.

“And let them build me a Sanctuary, that I might dwell in their midst.” Exodus 25:8

How the year runs

We run in seasons, not on a treadmill.

We run the year in seasons rather than one long unbroken term. Each SZN carries its own teaching series, its own Connect Group intake and its own team rhythm, so there are clear places to start and clear places to breathe. SZN 4 begins 4 October 2026.

Each season we teach through one theme together as a whole church, Sunday mornings and Connect Groups included. The current season is Encounter, which began 6 September 2026: stories of people who met Jesus in the Bible and were forever changed.

Come on a Sunday. 9:30am to 11am at Benowa State School, 314-358 Benowa Rd, Benowa QLD 4217, in the hall. There is food together afterwards, so there is no rush to leave. Fill in a connect card while you are there or before you come, and someone will get in touch. From there, a Connect Group is the natural next step.

Come as you are

Come and see for yourself.

The best way to understand a church is to stand in the room. We meet Sundays at 9:30am at Benowa State School.
